It was a pleasure to find a milo guard which was durable and well designed. The staggered length fingers did a very good job of directing the heads into the header while the width of the fingers kept head drop to a minimum.
After removing the milo guards, it was nice not to see damaged or dulled guards and sickle sections to replace on the header.

We have used Downer milo guards for 2 seasons, and are extremely happy with the performance, compared to previously used guards, no standing stragglers, enhanced feeding to cutter bar no bulldozing and more grain heads saved. I would recommend these guards for high yielding solid seeded or row planted milo.
